There are lots of great places to stay if you are visiting Estremoz but we must give a special shout out to Monte dos Pensamentos on the outskirts of town.
Warm and friendly staff
A friend recently stayed there and was really impressed. Right from the greeting by Miriam, who was so helpful and friendly, and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, to the room, which was spacious, modern and clean to the breakfast, which is served in the Monte’s formal dining room every day.
Your pet is welcome
The hotel is also pet-friendly (you pay €10/day extra for a dog, with a €40 refundable deposit), they can join you at the pool and the hotel staff even set up tables on the covered terrace in the morning so that you can breakfast with your pet!
There are rooms available of various configurations in the main house, but also modern apartments in the grounds with your own patio and views. Some also have log burners for all year comfort.
Great facilities
Officially classified as a Turismo Rural, there is ample parking in the shade, a games room with large TV area, snacks served throughout the day, two pools (one natural salt water), all set in lovely gardens that you can explore at your leisure. All this makes for a relaxing and chilled place to stay.
