In collaboration with the children’s cancer charity Acreditar, local non-profit organisation, Terras d’Ossa, is set to host the 1st Solidarity Walk in the nearby Serra d’Ossa—and everyone is invited to take part!

With the objective of collecting much needed funds for Acreditar, a national charity that helps youngsters suffering from cancer as well as giving support to their families, the solidarity walk takes place on Sunday March 27th in the beautiful Serra d’ossa mountains that belong to both the Redondo and Estremoz municipal areas, in the Alto Alentejo region. Not only does the walk offer a great opportunity to get to know the beautiful hills of the Serra d’Ossa better, and to spend time out in the great outdoors, but it is also a way for the local community to get together to learn more about protecting our natural surroundings—as well as helping children in need across the country.

The walk starts at 8:00hrs on Sunday 27th March, starting from the centre of Aldeia de Serra on the main N381 road that goes from Redondo to Estremoz—and everyone is welcome to join in.

To sign up, just visit the following link and follow the instructions: Walking with Acreditar

The cost to take part is €10 per person, which gives you admission to the walk and a commemorative T-shirt. For those who wish, you can also purchase a pin or bracelet at a cost of €1 each and 100% of all funds collected is donated entirely to Acreditar.

Why not make a fun day of it and organise a group of friends or family and take a picnic?

The goal of the organisers is to reach €1,000 for Acreditar, and they are counting on your help, to take part and show support for children with cancer across Portugal.
